This week we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family. We celebrate that Jesus, born at Christmas, was not born in isolation. He was born into a family, the family of Joseph and Mary. Likewise, each of us, whether we are born into our natural families or adopted families, are not born only as individuals, but we are born into a relationship with others.

During the months of November and December, our students were active in donation drives to help our community. We partnered with the St. Vincent de Paul Society to collect food for Thanksgiving. A dress down day was held to support Covenant House’s annual Sleep Out.
St. Nicholas Day was celebrated, with campus wide activities and reflections. A Christmas Nativity was performed and a Christmas shop and a breakfast with Santa was held. We collected Bears for Burns with Bright Angels foundation which were donated to patient’s families at Jackson’s Burn Unit

The Last Supper of our Lord was on a Thursday. In honor of this major event in the life of Jesus and His Church, the parish of Saint Gregory the Great offers weekly Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm every Thursday, concluding with a solemn benediction ceremony at 8:50 pm.
Many have been partaking of this blessed opportunity. All are encouraged to receive the grace which comes from spending time with our Eucharistic Lord. All are welcome on Thursdays to pray and adore.
